In this months blog I focus on shopping savvy in the sales with few tips for avoiding regret purchases and making sure that what you buy is genuinely a bargain.
Having spent a seemingly endless time riffling through the disorganised chaos of the sales rails (or online equivalent), you finally locate a garment which catches your eye ………..and it’s a massive 70% off, but is it a bargain?
I have this to say – COST PER WEAR
The lure of sales shopping is understandable, and let’s face it we all love a bargain. However, buying something because it is 30%/50%/70% or even 90% off and then leaving it sitting in your wardrobe taking up precious space is a total waste of money.
Ask yourself these questions:
Does it suit you? (colour, fit)
Do you need it? (is this item currently missing from your wardrobe)
Will you wear it and how often? (are there other items in your wardrobe then you can wear with it to complete an outfits/ or better still many outfits)
Do you love it? (does it put a smile on your face and make you happy)
If you can answer yes to all of the above, then buy it (almost regardless of price). It will be good value for money and you will not regret the purchase.
